Combating Gender based Violence and Pledge Against Child Marriage Program: Women Development Cell

The oath taking ceremony was held on 27th November 2024 on the occasion of International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Gender Champions along with students took oath to fulfill their responsibilities to eliminate child marriage and violence against women. The Women Development Cell of the college organized the gender awareness program under the guidance of Principal Dr. Khushila.
The topic was presented by WDC member Dr. Pooja and she addressed the gathering on the current scenario of gender discrimination in the society and how to bring equality among different genders. The talk was followed by an interaction with the students. Around 150 students from various departments of the college joined the drill on different days. WDC Convener Dr. Nisha highlighted that efforts to eliminate child marriage are important to empower young girls and promote gender equality. She said that the college made regular efforts to teach the legal framework and organized awareness campaigns to create a society where every child can flourish.
